 EDDY WATA is a Nigerian artist who started his singing career in Italy and immediately found success with international hits such as “La Bomba� and “Jam�.

After a short pause following his instant success as the king of ragga dance, Eddy is back in the summer of 2008 with “I Love My People� a fantastic track which is released in 16 countries and becomes a hit in France, Spain, Canada, Brazil, Poland, Romania, Russia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Finland and Israel. It looked like he had never stopped since his previous hits and he’s invited to perform in several countries.

During the fall/winter 2008, Eddy recorded several tracks, enough to compile an album and after a meeting between management and the previous label, it is decided to go with “The Light� as a follow up to “I Love My People�. This is not the strongest single among the lot but a good follow up, which allows Eddy to keep going and maintain the momentum achieved with “I Love My People�.

“My Dream�, the third single of the new era, is released in time for the summer 2009 and gets licensed to Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Poland, Israel, Russia, Finland, Brazil, Spain, Ukraine, Greece and South Africa, Germany, Austria, Australia.

Eddy Wata, since his coming back has always been very busy on the road with club performances and promotion in Romania, Spain, France, Greece, Bulgaria, Poland, Albania, Israel and Turkey. Further to an extensive club tour throughout the 2009 summer, he performed on the Hity Na Csazie Festival in Poland and his performance on the show launched him to stardom level over there, as well as in most of the Eastern European countries.

The summer is over and the winter 2009/10 doesn’t stop Eddy’s will to show the Artist he is; Eddy is again on the market and on tour with his newest single: I like the way. In a handful of days, the response to the single is unanimous, but it keeps going until the summer 2010 with licences in the following territories: Poland, South Africa, Ukraine, Greece, Israel, Turkey, Bulgaria, Czech Republic and Slovakia, Spain, Benelux, Scandinavia, Finland, Russia, Australia and New Zealand, Brazil, Thailand, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia, Philippines, Portugal, Romania.

“I Like The Way� becomes his biggest hit, and scores TOP 10 in no less than 20 countries. Eddy’s back in the studio to record a new single “I Wanna Dance�. He shoot a video for the song and, at the same time, he decided to also shoot a video for “I Like The Way� as there has never been one for the song.

In 2010/2011 Eddy’s constantly on the road with more than 100 gigs played in Romania, Israel, Lebanon, Slovakia, Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Cyprus, Norway, Poland, Albania, Spain, Bulgaria, Greece. This is a stunning result but on the other hand is also a bit of a problem because Eddy never finds the way to spend time in the studio and his producer is not delivering any good songs.

During the summer 2011, due to artistic reasons and lack of creativity, Eddy’s split from his producer and recorded a couple of new songs with a new producer: Agostino Carollo, aka Spankox, a very well known name on the dance scene who has personally achieved great results under different names (X-Treme, Eyes Cream, Spankox and Ago).

The new single is “Señorita� a song which definitely has an impact on the market and becomes Eddy’s single with the highest number of countries on board: more than 40! The original single was released in October 2011 and licensed to Israel, Poland, Scandinavia, Finland, Spain, Canada, Brazil, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore/Malaysia, Russia/CIS, Czech Republic/Slovakia, Greece/Cyprus, India/Sri Lanka, Turkey, Colombia/Venezuela/Peru/Ecuador, Arabia and Middle East, Hungary, France, Romania and non exclusively to Japan. In January 2012 the single is followed by a remix package including remixes from Italy, Canada, Israel, Egypt and Romania.

Since the release of “Señorita�, Eddy’s constantly been touring but, once again, due to the long time to deliver a single, it was decided to change again producer. The new strategy was to work with different producers on different tracks in order to have more arrows and the result so far is stunning.

Fabio Cozzi, a good old friend of RNC’s Nico Spinosa and Ros Manica, and a very good producer, took just a few days to deliver “Superstar�, one of Eddy’s best singles ever which was released in Italy in October 2012, while most of the other countries released it early 2013.

“Superstar� has then been licensed to France, Scandinavia and Finland, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece/Cyprus, Israel, Arabia/Middle East, South Korea, Thailand, India, Spain, Canada, Singapore/Malaysia, Russia/CIS, former Yugoslavia and Colombia. The rest of the year has been super busy, in fact Eddy’s been recording several new tracks in order to finish the album.

Further to “My Season�, a single which features Eddy, there have been at least 10 new tracks recorded, but only 5 have been chosen to fill and complete the album “My Dream� released in Italy in July 2013.

The album has been later licensed to Poland, Israel, Canada, Arabia and Middle East, South Korea, Spain, Russia and CIS, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Finland and Scandinavia, France, Greece and Cyprus, Albania, Turkey, Mexico and Central America, Hungary, Slovakia and Czech Republic, GSA, Romania, Bulgaria.

Since July 2013, Eddy’s been constantly promoting his new album, touring, finishing the recording of some new tracks and writing songs for other artists as well.

The current single is “I Wa Le Wa� and right now the video has been delivered.

It’s been shot during the recording of the album by one of the Producers, Fabio Cozzi, who thought to shape the images up into a video in order to promote the single!

With the album and some of the tracks off it still being promoted, several tour dates in Europe and studio work, Eddy’s already focusing on writing and producing hits with some of the producers who contributed to his past hits.

The new single should be ready before the winter and will definitely be a surprise!
